Carcassonne, the award-winning, European board game, is named after a medieval town in France famous for its fortified stone walls.
When the Iconfactory set out to design Carcassonne for the iPhone & iPod touch, the city’s rich visual textures served as the inspiration for the interface, which made use of carved wood, stone and rich fabrics. The UI, icons and colorful characters immerse players in the age of cloisters, jugglers and countesses.
Whether playing in solitaire or multi-player mode, players will find the quest to build a medieval landscape both challenging and fun while set against the backdrop of this finely designed game.
